Manchester Media Centre – The BBC’s new home in the North.

• We received the enquiry for the external building envelope at tender stage and gave detailed, accurate and competitive prices.
• The tender was followed up and we helped the sub-contractor with U value calculations and wind load information.
• We negotiated fixed prices for the 15 month duration assisting our customer to secure the contract from Bovis.
• The site required timed deliveries of materials which we successfully and smoothly managed by good communication and having substantial stocks available for delivery at short notice.
• The total order value for the materials supplied is £75k.

Barn Conversion – Lancashire

• We received an enquiry from the developer whose friend had recommended that he try Tyne Insulations Supplies Ltd.
• Our sales went to visit the customer on site to discuss the project which was a large five bedroom luxury barn conversion.
• There was an open specification for insulation materials so we offered a range of options to meet a range of U values.
• Samples of different materials were provided and further site visits made.
• We supplied insulation for the ground floors, insulated plasterboards for the walls and rigid foilbacked insulation boards for the pitched roof. We also supplied acoustic roll insulation for between floor joists and timber studs.
• Goods were delivered to site as required and we opened a credit account facility for the customer.
• We also assisted the customer by e-mailing U values calculations to local building control to confirm compliance.
